The National Forum for Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention (National Forum; is committed to maintaining the privacy of its users. We do not sell, rent, trade or otherwise transfer e-mail lists or personal information with other people or organizations for marketing or other purposes.

The Policy Depot (, a website administered by the National Forum, is provided as a service to its members and the general public. We collect no personal information about you unless you choose to provide that information to us.

Personally provided information

In order to use the Policy Depot website, you must complete and provide the National Forum with a profile that asks a number of questions related to your personal information, work experience (both type of work and location), and interests and beliefs about various non-communicable disease policies.

Personal information means information that can be used to personally identify you, such as your name, title, e-mail address, phone number, mailing address, picture, and links to your personal website(s) or social network profile(s).

We safeguard the personal information you provide us as follows:

  • User passwords are encrypted
  • Facility-wide security includes guards on premise, video cameras throughout, bullet-resistant glass, biometric hand-scan into man-trap controlled entrance/exit
  • Operations Center houses a certified staff, state-of-the-art tools and real-time monitoring
  • Fully redundant power system includes continuous power supply, multiple generators, and fuel purchase agreements
  • Facility-wide fire suppression technologies include an early warning detection system, fire detectors, gas system, double pre-action dry pipe sprinkler system
  • Environmental Monitoring system for air conditioning, water detection and humidity control
  • Secure Cabinets with regulated power and dedicated Internet connections

We do not share your personal information with third parties except as required to provide the service or information you request, or except as may be required by law or government authorities, or to protect against fraud or for other lawful purpose.

Aggregate information

Personal information may be compiled in aggregate by the National Forum and used for research or marketing purposes (for example, to provide a geographic breakdown of users interested in a specific policy). By using the Policy Depot website, you agree to our collection of personal information and compilation and use of aggregate information as described in this privacy policy.

Information automatically collected and stored

When you use a website, certain information about your visit can be collected. The National Forum automatically collects and temporarily stores the following information about your visit, but this information does not identify you personally:
